I already knew a lot of the nutrition part, but having the calculations for macros helped a lot. I never highlight in my books, but this one has so much information I highlight the crap out of it. All in all, I feel like it was greatly beneficial to me to have read and studied it before starting the Year One Challenge.Ĭompletely agree. I read it in a weekend, if you're worried about the time it takes to get through it. He also gives a ton of helpful information about vitamins and supplements, of which I was so clueless about, so that was nice. I will say that some of it didn't benefit me, like the science behind motivation and discipline, because I have no issues with that, but it was interesting to read, nonetheless. He also gives a macros breakdown that, if you stick with, will take your body to a new level. The why was more important to me than anything, I feel like I stick with it because I understand why it's so important I do certain things a certain way. He gives a lot of scientific background and really breaks down what he does and the why. There's a lot of information in the book that is vital to the success in the program, at least in my opinion.
